Our skate coach is a passionate, experienced skateboarder and instructor who meets campers at any skill level, whether they’re just starting to balance on the board or are ready for tricks.

Skate Like a Girl inspired us to create this immersive a few years ago, and dozens of passionate 2023 campers convinced us to bring it back into our camp lineup!! Leave it to Amplify to find ways to liberate any cool discipline—like SKATEBOARDING—from the male-dominated scene. In the same way that guitar and drums continue to be regarded as “boy” instruments for whatever reason, skateboarding has also grown to tokenize female and gender-expansive skaters. Amplify has brought back its beloved skateboarding immersive for campers who want to learn how to push, balance, ride, ollie, and drop in, or improve existing skills and take field trips to shred the very cool Ojai, Santa Paula, and/or brand-new Carpinteria skate parks. Also strongly encourage anyone to check out rad pioneer skaters who helped inspire the immersive, like Santa Barbara/Carpinteria/SoCal’s own PEGGY OKI! 👇
