WHO ARE OUR STAFF?
At Amplify, our staff is made up of a diverse group of college and graduate students, teachers, and professionals. Each summer, we maintain a balanced team of returning staff and new members, all of whom have completed at least one year of college (or are of equivalent age). To ensure we bring on the best individuals, every potential staff member goes through a thorough application and interview process, including providing three high-quality references. Depending on their role, staff also participate in a comprehensive 7-14 day orientation before campers arrive to prepare for their important responsibilities.
We expect our staff to bring a positive attitude, a commitment to growth, and openness to others’ perspectives. Building connections with campers is key—making them feel seen, heard, and valued. We emphasize teamwork, strong communication skills, and a willingness to adapt when things don’t go as planned. A solution-focused mindset, role modeling, and a genuine desire to make camp fun are essential qualities of all Amplify staff. Ultimately, we look for individuals who are excited to work in a community dedicated to human development and supporting youth in meaningful ways.
