At Amplify, campers step behind the camera to bring their creative vision to life. Guided by a professional filmmaker, they’ll learn the essentials of storytelling, shooting, and editing while working with state-of-the-art cameras and software. This immersive takes it to the next level by partnering with our Skateboarding program—campers will capture tricks, style, and skate culture, then transform the footage into an original skate film. Along the way, they’ll explore cinematography, directing, sound design, and visual editing techniques, building a unique project that debuts at the end-of-session showcase.

From Basics to Advanced Techniques – Hands-on instruction in directing, shooting, sound design, and storytelling.
Cinematography & Dynamic Lighting – Learn how to capture mood and motion through creative lighting setups.
Editing with Industry Tools – Explore modern editing software to cut, color-correct, and enhance your films.
Showcase-Ready Portfolio – Build a reel of original short films, including a skate video, to take home and share.
Campers learn extensive filmmaking skills, from concept development to final editing. Highlights include the chance to create original short films and skate edits inspired by their own passions (e.g., music, style, or storytelling). Along the way, they’ll explore camera work, directing, sound, and editing with professional tools like Adobe Premiere.
All campers display their work at the final showcase and start building their professional portfolios with the help of expert-level instructors who know what it takes to rock the world of visual arts—because they’re doing it every day.
