Step into the spotlight and help create something completely new.
In Amplify’s Musical Theatre Immersive, you won’t just perform—you’ll build a musical from the ground up, inspired by an iconic female album like Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR or Gracie Abrams’ The Secret of Us.

Each session’s cast collaborates to transform a record into a one-of-a-kind show—writing scenes, staging performances, and shaping choreography that tells a story through the songs you love. Think Jagged Little Pill, but created by you.

🎶 You’ll:
- Act, sing, and dance in an original, full-length show
- Adapt your favorite album into a theatrical story
- Learn the art of staging, direction, and choreography
- Build confidence performing solo + in ensemble scenes
- Work in small groups to design sets, costumes, and lighting
💫 Every session ends with a fully staged performance in the Zalk Theater, our black box performance space where every show feels electric.

Meet Zoey, Our Musical Theatre Teacher

Hi, I’m Zoey and I’m excited to join Amplify as a Musical Theater Instructor this summer! I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and recently graduated from the University of Missouri, where I pursued a double major in English and psychology with minors in theater and sociology. I am super passionate about theater, creativity, and empowering young people! See you this summer!

🎧 ALBUMS BY SESSION

Each session’s cast re-imagines two iconic albums — one for younger campers (3rd–8th grade) and one for older campers (9th–12th grade) — turning them into brand-new musicals filled with story, emotion, and style.
Inspired by Broadway hits like Jagged Little Pill, these shows are written, staged, and performed entirely by Amplify campers.

Younger Campers: Sabrina Carpenter – Emails I Can’t Send

Older Campers: Gracie Abrams – The Secret of Us

Younger Campers: BLACKPINK – Born Pink
🔥 Global energy, confidence, and choreography — a high-octane celebration of strength, style, and teamwork.
Older Campers: Paramore – This Is Why
⚡ Smart, fearless rock with something to say — exploring resilience, individuality, and what it means to stand your ground.

🎭 Theme: courage, identity, and creative freedom.

✨ Each session ends with a fully staged musical in our Zalk Theater, complete with lights, costumes, choreography, and the electric joy of performing songs that define a generation.

Older campers can take their performance to the next level—developing audition pieces, musical theatre reels, or creative portfolios that stand out in college applications for theatre, music, or performing arts programs.
