director
As the Camp Director at Amplify, you will be the leader responsible for ensuring the overall success of our camp experience. Your key duties include managing day-to-day operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers and staff, and cultivating an inclusive, positive atmosphere that reflects the spirit and mission of Amplify. You will oversee and mentor the camp staff, coordinate activities and schedules, and serve as the primary point of contact for parents. Additionally, you will handle any challenges that arise, enforce camp policies, and foster a supportive environment where creativity and growth thrive.
From March to June, this role requires a minimum of 10 hours per week of remote preparation. During this time, you will assist with hiring staff, developing the camp schedule, creating staff training programs and manuals, and more to ensure a successful camp season. You will also be in charge of managing all trips and travel for Amplify, overseeing camper and staff move-in and move-out, and liaising with our host campus. This role is supported by the Executive Director, Assistant Director and a team of ten lead staff members including our year round admin assistant, ensuring you have the support needed to make camp an incredible experience for everyone. Your leadership will inspire both campers and staff, helping to create an unforgettable summer.
assistant director
As the Assistant Director at Amplify, you will play a key role in supporting the Camp Director and ensuring the smooth operation of our camp. Your responsibilities include helping manage daily camp activities, overseeing staff, and ensuring the well-being and safety of both campers and team members. You will assist in coordinating schedules, leading special events, and resolving any issues that arise to maintain a positive, inclusive camp environment.
In collaboration with the Camp Director, you will also assist with managing trips, travel logistics, camper and staff move-in and move-out, and communication with our host campus. Additionally, you will take an active role in supporting staff development and training, ensuring that our team has the guidance and resources they need to succeed. This role includes working closely with ten lead staff members to facilitate camp programming and ensure everything runs efficiently.
The Assistant Director will also contribute to camp planning in the off-season, assisting with hiring, scheduling, and program development, requiring a commitment of up to 10 hours a week remotely from March to June. Your leadership and organizational skills will be vital in helping create an enriching and unforgettable camp experience for all participants.
am lead + class coordinator
Part of the leadership team, this mentor works closely with the lead team to ensure all aspects of programming occur seamlessly in the 1st half of the day, coordinates with the sound engineer as liaison to visiting performers, and organizes the end of session showcase performance. This is done by assisting, supporting, supervising, and coordinating morning shift counselors and instructors and planning and leading morning assemblies. Must be proficient in 2+ instruments and have superb public speaking and leadership/mentorship skills.
pm co-lead counselor
Part of the leadership team, these mentors ensure all aspects of programming, communication and camper care occur seamlessly in the second half of each day. Responsible for either Eos (grades 4-8) or Phoenix (grades 9-12) campers, pm co-leads work alongside and support residential counselors to facilitate free time, dinner, evening activities such as all camp games, karaoke, dance parties and more, night groups, and bed time routines.
health + wellness staff
Administers medication and provides first aid, as well as other immediate physical care to campers as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining the health center, completing administrative tasks, communicating with parents/guardians, conducting health checks on arrival day, and offering general assistance as required. CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory. We strongly encourage EMTs, school nurses, nursing/medical students, and similar professionals to apply. The health and wellness staff is made up by a team of 4.
camp care specialist
Acts as a resource to campers and staff to develop coping mechanisms and a sense of independence in order to return to programming feeling secure and supported. Must have skills in trauma-informed communication, stress management, restorative justice practices, and mediation. Also, develop and lead 2 age-appropriate mental health skills development workshops for campers each session. This position can be broken up into two part time positions and is open to licensed counselors, students or graduates still working toward their license, or empathetic individuals who are patient and caring communicators.
Residential Counselor & Workshop Leader
This position is a great first job! Residential counselors are assigned to day or pm shifts in either Eos (grades 4-8) or Phoenix (grades 9-12) dorms. These two teams split up all residential responsibilities such as starting and ending each day with life at the dorms, and joining campers for meals, free time, and activities outside their daily immersive and electives classes. Every residential counselor has an additional area of responsibility to help support campers throughout their daily routines. Our counselors are caring, thoughtful community members who understand that we are here to have fun in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. We are looking for mentors who can

instructor
Make a powerful impact guiding students in learning and improving skills in an environment that lifts up voices that are typically marginalized in creative fields. The Amplify experience is based on campers choosing an immersive to learn each morning and afternoon in preparation for an exciting and fun end of session showcase full of original work created by the campers themselves. Elective workshops are offered twice each day. All instructors must have a strong ability to build curriculum and teach mixed beginner to advanced group and private classes in at least one of the above areas. Band coaches must be able to assist musical groups comprised of any combination of instruments write an original piece, develop skills needed to be a positive member of a group, and work with other instructors to help each camper find what success means to them and their band. Multi-instrumentalists to the front!!!
Camp Photographer / Parent App Manager / Social Media & Day Camp Liaison
In this diverse role, you’ll wear many hats, making a significant impact on how our camp is experienced both on-site and from afar. As the Camp Photographer, you’ll capture the excitement and joy of camp life, from candid shots to group photos, preserving these moments for our campers and their families. You’ll also manage our parent app, ensuring that parents receive timely updates and have access to hundreds of daily snapshots of their child’s camp experience.
In addition to these responsibilities, you’ll manage our social media platforms, sharing the magic of camp with a wider audience and keeping our community engaged. As the Day Camp Liaison, you’ll be the primary point of contact for day campers and their parents, facilitating communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring that every day camper has a fantastic experience. This role is perfect for someone who is creative, organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about working with youth in a dynamic environment.
Pay Range: $4,025-$5250 for 7 weeks (June 14-Aug 5).
